When it comes to how it operates, Hong Kong Women’s Premier League T20 has a distinct structure of its own. The event’s framework is broken out below, and it also applies to this tournament as well:

Hong Kong Women’s Premier League T20 History
The 2020/21 season of Hong Kong Women’s Premier League T20 was the inaugural edition of the tournament with only two participating teams, playing three matches. Jade Jets Women emerged as the winners while Bauhinia Stars Women came second. This three-match tournament started on October 18th 2020 and ended on March 21st 2022. All the games were played at the Mission Road Ground, Mong Kok. The aim was to give a chance to Hong Kong’s top women cricketers so that they can participate in a competitive tournament at the highest level. The same two teams participated in the following two seasons but they were not completed. In the 2022/23 season, five teams participated namely Hong Kong Cricket Club, Diasqua Little Sai Wan Cricket Club, Craigengower Women’s Cricket Club, Kowloon Cricket Club and United Services Recreation Club. Diasqua Little Sai Wan Cricket Club emerged victorious.
Hong Kong Women’s Premier League T20 Teams

Hong Kong Cricket Club
The Hong Kong Cricket Club, captained by Alison Siu secured the top spot in the league table with four wins in four games. They secured 8 points last season. However, they suffered a 6-wicket defeat at the hands of Diasqua Little Sai Wan CC Women in the finals. Emma Lai emerged as their top run-getter, scoring 91 runs at 18.20 last season. Betty Chan, their leading wicket-taker, picked up six last season.
Diasqua Little Sai Wan Cricket Club
The Diasqua Little Sai Wan Cricket Club, led by Shanzeen Shahzad are the reigning champions of the Hong Kong Women’s Premier League T20. The side came second in the league stage, winning all but one of their matches. Their top run-scorer, Iqra Sahar was also the tournament’s leading run-getter, scoring 228 runs at 76.00. Jaswinder Kaur and Maryam Bibi from DLSWW were the top two wicket-takers last season in the competition, picking up 8 wickets apiece.
Craigengower Women’s Cricket Club
The Craigengower Women’s Cricket Club, led by Kary Chan secured the third spot last season, picking up two wins and as many losses in four outings. They just missed out on the finals as they fell two points short. Charlotte Chan emerged as their top run-scorer last season, accumulating 84 runs at 28.00. Heiley Lui, their leading wicket-taker, picked up three last season.
Kowloon Cricket Club
Founded in 1904, the Kowloon Cricket Club is situated in the bustling centre of the Kowloon peninsula. In the last five years, the club has won more men’s trophies than any other side in the country. Kowloon CC led by Connie Wong, secured the fourth spot last season, picking up a win and three defeats in four outings. They had a terrible campaign last time around and will look to improve in the upcoming season. Skipper Wong scored the most number of runs for KCC. She scored 98 runs in four games.
United Services Recreation Club
Founded in 1911, the United Services Recreation Club is a historical club located on Gun Club Hill Barracks site in Kowloon. USRC sponsors various sporting activities and cricket has been a part of the club since its inception. Last season, the side failed to win any of the four games they played. They finished at the bottom of the table with no points in four outings. Mahekdeep Kaur emerged as the top run-scorer for USRC last season, scoring 34 runs at 11.33 in four outings. Maira Balochh picked up four wickets, the most by any USRC player last season.
