Qatar T10 League Teams

There are 6 teams overall in the 2019 Qatar T10 league. You may read about them below to get more knowledge about the competitors and decide who to bet on.

Swift Gallopers

The Swift Gallopers, captained by Pakistani wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal secured the top spot in the league table, picking up four wins in five games. The side picked up 8 points and a healthy net run rate of about +2.715. Their semi-final match against Flying Oryx was abandoned and they qualified for the finals on the basis of their position in the table. However, they suffered a 4-wicket defeat with a ball to spare at the hands of second-placed Falcon Hunters. Skipper Kamran Akmal topped the run-scoring charts from his side, scoring 126 runs at 21.00 in six games. Ali Imran picked up the most number of wickets for his side(8).

Falcon Hunters

The Falcon Hunters, captained by Qatari player Iqbal Hussain secured the second position in the league table, picking up four wins in five games. The side picked up 8 points and a healthy net run rate of about +2.359. Their semi-final match against Desert Riders was abandoned and they qualified for the finals on the basis of their position in the table. They eventually won the competition by beating the Swift Gallopers in the final by 4 wickets. Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Butt emerged as the top two run-scorers in the competition, scoring 138 and 137 runs respectively. Skipper Iqbal Hussain picked up the maximum number of wickets for his side(7).

Desert Riders

The Desert Riders, captained by Pakistani player Mohammad Hafeez secured the third position in the league table, picking up three wins in five games. The side picked up 7 points and a healthy net run rate of about +0.344. They were quite unfortunate as their scheduled semi-final encounter against Falcon Hunters was abandoned and they couldn’t make it to the finals. Muhammad Tanveer scored the most runs for Desert Riders(106). Pakistani bowler Sohail Tanvir picked up 5 wickets for his side.

Flying Oryx

The Flying Oryx, captained by Pakistani player Hussain Talat secured the fourth position in the league table, courtesy of three defeats and only a single win in five games. The side picked up only 3 points with an abysmal net run rate of -2.071. Although they qualified for the semi-finals, that match was abandoned. Hussain Talat emerged as the top run-getter for Flying Oryx that season, scoring 82 runs at 27.33. Naved Malik picked up 5 wickets(the most from his side).

Pearl Gladiators

Similar to the Flying Oryx, the Pearl Gladiators, captained by Pakistani player Mohammad Sami secured the fifth position in the league table, courtesy of three defeats and only a single win in five games. The side picked up only 3 points with an abysmal net run rate of -2.413. They went level with the Flying Oryx on points but failed to qualify for the semi-finals as they had an inferior net run rate in comparison to the Flying Oryx. Mehran Khan emerged as the top run-scorer for the Pearl Gladiators, scoring 53 runs. Philip Joseph picked up 4 wickets for his side.

Heat Stormers

The Flying Oryx, captained by Manpreet Gony finished at the bottom of the table last season, picking up no wins in five games. The side picked up only a point.
