About Road Safety World Series
The league was co-founded by Ravi Gaikwad, the chief road traffic officer of Thane, in collaboration with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The 2022 edition marked the debut of New Zealand in the competition.

The team holds the title of defending champions, having clinched victory in the inaugural 2020 edition.
